Rod Barton Invites
is proud to present its second group exhibition Lost Boys featuring four London based women artists working in paint. The title is derived as a counter-point to the first gallery group show, humorously titled Lady Holic which presented five male painters.

Lost Boys also refers to the fairy tale land of Peter Pan and his gang of lost boys. Adventure, narrative and exploration with their medium are intrinsic to these artists practice. The works exhibited, although selected in dialogue with each other, will compete to express their own distinctive styles through process-based methods.

Lost Boys includes Sarah Douglas who is currently exhibiting at the Jerwood Drawing Prize and recently showed with Katherine Kicinski in ‘Slipery Slope’ at the Eagle Gallery, Farringdon. Kicinski was an exhibitor at last years Bloomberg New Contemporaries. Mie Olise Kjaergaard, the most recent graduate of these painters, has recently been shortlisted for the new student prize “4 new sensations”, Brick lane, sponsored by Saatchi Gallery and Channel 4. Heidi Locher graduated from the Central Saint Martins MA program in 2006 and has been concentrating on making a new body of work - one of her larger canvas works will be shown.
